Flixton II 144 all out lost to FVCC 199/9 by 55 runs.
Valley won the toss and elected to bat at Flixton II. Dave Morris and Simon Dobson put on 60 for the first wicket before Morris fell for 28. Josh Cooper came in at number 3, and made 23 and Lewis Wannop compiled 18. With Valley on 156/2 after 38 overs a score in excess of 200 seemed possible. Wannop and Dobson (70) fell in sucessive deliveries, and wickets began to tumble despite late hitting by Andy and Phil Holden as Valley made 199/9 from their 45 overs, one run short of maximum batting points. Paceman James Tindall then ripped through the reliable home side top order as he claimed career best figures of 7/52 from 17.2 overs, and he found good support from a returning Paul Wilson (2/36). Flixton fell to 61/8, but Valley lost concentration and the home side's tail wagged as they reached 144 before Tindall came on for a second spell and took the last wicket.
FVCC II 177/8 best Nawton Grange 167 all out by 10 runs
The seconds won a tense encounter with league leaders Nawton Grange CC. Tim Farrant made a fine 54 and Gary Gibson finished unbeaten on 30 as the home side posted 177/8. Young Shaun Topham (3/31) and Mike Andrew (5/36) took the honours with the ball as the visitors fell just 10 runs short as Valley reclaimed top spot in Division B.
FVCC III 174/9 beat Commercial CC 133 all out by 41 runs.
The thirds upset the odds and beat much fancied Commercial CC at West Ayton. Nick Cook continued his good form with 33 and Josh Gretton showed his batting potential with a hard hitting 31, James Ledden (20) and Colin Arnott (18) also contributed in a final total of 174/9. Chris Calvert then set about the strong looking visiting batting lline up as he took a seasons best 6/47 in an inspired spell to ensure a 41 run win.
Muston II 99 all out lost to FVCC IV 100/3 by 7 wickets
The fourths good run continued with a fine away day win at Muston II. Sam Craggs was the pick of the Valley attack as he finished with 4/17 and Martin Atkinson chipped in with 2/1. Stephen B Smith led the way with the bat and finished unbeaten with 47 as theyy eased home in the 27th over.
